Ta de grinzen fan de imperativus pro infinitivo (IPI)

Abstract

All so-called IPI sentences can be converted into sentences with om te + inf. -n. But the reverse operation is not always possible. The author has accepted the challenge in an article by D.A. Tamminga (1959) to find out why certain sentences with om te + inf. -n are not convertible into IPI-sentences.
This contribution does not pretend to have defined the boundary between all convertible and non-convertible sentences with om te + inf.
