Fragen by it learplan 'Frysk yn de basisfoarming'
Abstract
The education of schoolchildren between the ages of 12 and 15 has recently beenchanged in the Netherlands: new goals have been formulated for all subjects,
including Dutch. In Friesland at the same time Frisian has become a compulsory
subject for all schoolchildren of this age. In developing a curriculum for Frisian
the question has been put forward whether the same goals can be achieved for
both Dutch and Frisian without spending much more time on the two subjects
combined than is spent elsewhere in the Netherlands on Dutch alone. Under the
conditions set forth in this article the answer might be yes.
