Twa Fryske gedichten fan Albert ten Broecke Hoekstra

Abstract

In this article I publish two Frisian poems by the Frisian scholar Albert ten
Broecke Hoekstra (1765-1828), of which the former has been published
before but with errors, while the latter is published for the first time. Both
poems, from 1815 and 1817, are welcome additions to the trickle of
Frisian literature of the period. They also afford us a glance at the poetic
skills of the author and the reason for which he wrote them.
