Abstract

In this article I go into aspects of the content, didactics and form of a
reference book on Dutch interference in Frisian. This book, which I am
planning to compile in the next few years, should in principle list all cases
of interference, both lexical and - as far as possible and advisable -
grammatical. Currently only (mostly small) subsets are available.
Traditionally, secondary and adult language courses, for which this book is
primarily intended, have paid a lot of attention to combating interference,
though not always successfully. I will try to show that the use of a reference
book may produce better results. It is important to state that such a
reference book very well fits into the new didactic conceptions concerning
secondary education as a whole (the so-called ‘basisfoarming’ and the
‘stúdzjehûs’).
