Inversion in interference Frisian verb clusters: another look at the data
Abstract
In this article I will reanalyze the data of two experiments on verb clustersin Interference Frisian, carried out by Henk Wolf (cf. Wolf 1995a, 1996).
Wolf describes the language in his younger subject group as Interference
Frisian. My point is that this description cannot be based upon Wolf’s
presentation and interpretation of the data. I will show that an alternative
presentation of the data leads to the conclusion that there are (at least) two
types of speakers within Wolf’s younger subject group.
