New Issue: Cities by Night

2024-11-14

We are delighted to announce the publication of our latest thematic issue exploring the nocturnal dimensions of urban life.

This issue brings together eight contributions that illuminate the relationships between cities and their nights. Through studies of nocturnal walking in Paris and Helsinki, rooftop protests in Iran, nightclub spaces, and light festivals, our contributors reveal how urban nights serve as sites of knowledge-making, contemplation, transgression, and political possibility.

The issue represents a significant step in developing a philosophy of urban nights, opening new conversations about how we live in, understand, and imagine our cities after dark.
