De ene kerk en de vele kerken. Reactie op de bijdragen van Van der Leer en Van der Borght

Samenvatting

The most striking difference between the ecclesiological approaches by Van der Leer and by Van der Borght is the emphasis placed on the multitude of churches and their communities and its discontinuity throughout the generations, over against the emphasis on the unity of the church and its continuity. In my evaluation, my sympathy lies with Van der Borght’s perspective, because of the wider scope he presents. Part of the questions I put to Van der Borght can be interpreted as questions regarding our own Reformed tradition.
