The liturgiologist Robert Webber notes that the invention of printing in the late Middle Ages, and the audiovisual revolution since the middle of the last century have had a great impact on liturgy. By means of his concept of blended worship Webber explicitly takes the second development into account. A well-considered Reformed response to Webber’s thesis has not yet materialized. This article concludes that blended worship is a sound biblical concept and worthy of use in the churches’ liturgy.
