Marisa Linton, professor emerita at Kingston University London, researches the Reign of Terror that followed the French Revolution. She argues that the Terror cannot be understood properly purely by focusing on the ideas of the Revolutionaries; their emotions are equally important in explaining what they did. She also talks about what inspired her personally and the influence of gender on her career and research.
