De Israëlische kibboets: een bibliografisch overzicht

Samenvatting

A bibliografy of 75 items, chosen according to 3 criteria is presented: (1) importance; (2) relevance to social scientists; and (3) availability to the European student. An introduction traces the history of the diff types of collective settlements in Israel, including the kibbutzim, and reviews some of the more general works. Then the specialized studies, mostly in article form, are discussed. It is argued that these specialized studies, on social stratification, social control, family, education, social change etc, are the most valuable to social scientists. A last section deals with the problem of the kibbutzim in a broader framework (comparative and macrosociological) and mentions some current investigations. I. langgnas.
