Een eerste stap tesamen: European Seminar 1968

Samenvatting

In sept 1968 the 1st European seminar on the sociology of education met in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, on the initiative and under the auspices of the Netherlands Sociological Organization (Nederlandse Sociologische Vereniging). Two main subjects were discussed: (1) the sociological determinants of performance before and during elementary school, (2) the structure and function of institutions concerned with upbringing and education. 35 participants from 13 countries were expected; the 12 unable to attend sent papers instead. Each country was asked to report on the state of the discipline in that country. There was little time to reach many definite conclusions, but many valuable contacts had been made and ideas generated. P. Tiersma
