A criticism of H. 't Hart's article. 't Hart's position in favor of scientific research is criticized & an attempt is made to point out the erroneous character of his views on the ethical aspects of socioscientific research. According to 't Hart, the informant should learn to become conscious of his situation, but interviewing a person presupposes that the person is already conscious of his situation. 't Hart's idea that scientific research should remain available to the R is also shown to be a mistake. I. Verluyten.
