Samenvatting

Focus is on an investigation conducted in 1969 to determine the value of the Amsterdam school test regarding the choice of direction in a higher education level. Briefly examined are the origin, working, & significance of this test. The results are then compared with F. Van Heek's conclusions in THE HIDDEN TALENT (Boom & Zn, 1968). 2 of Van Heek's conclusions must be rejected: the social position of students was found to have a definite influence on their educational career; teachers were found not to be as unprejudiced as Van Heek had claimed. Van Heek's conclusion as to the uncertainty of choice was found to be valuable. 3 Tables. I. Verluyten.
