Morin's theory of the macrohistorical development of man & his concept of human nature, (2) systems analysis & the disorderliness of daily life, (3) the idea of utmost complexity as against the notion of a restricted number of universal problems & of alternative solutions, as formulated in the anthropological idea of culture patterns, & (4) the field of science itself as the organization of thinking & action around areas of uncertainty.
