Samenvatting

Answered are criticisms by L. Brunt. Brunt's use of insinuation is deplored. Contrary to Brunt's assertions groups & institutions are considered more than the mere sum of their members. The label "methodological individualist" is refuted. A shift of emphasis from the group toward the individual, though not to the exclusion of groups is advocated. A new theory is not in the works nor is the market metaphor acceptable in speaking of human interactions. The nonconstructive aspect of Brunt's criticisms is deplored & it is claimed that his own work is in no way different from the work of those he criticizes. In Het perspectief van een boze baas (The Perspective of an Angry Boss), Lodewijk Brunt (Sweelinckstr 25, Culemborg Netherlands) maintains that the position he attributes to Boissevain is the one that logically follows from his writings. In particular the imputations of individualism & elitism are documented. A. Orianne.
