Understanding Wittgenstein: some brief remarks

Some preliminary remarks about the work of L. Wittgenstein are offered. The differences & similarities between the two phases of Wittgenstein's work in philosophy are described. A short discussion of his method is presented with an emphasis on the therapeutic aspect of Wittgenstein's later philosophy. Finally, Wittgenstein's viewpoint on relativism is discussed. Wittgenstein was not a relativist but, in fact, his ideas are extremely useful in finding a middle road between relativism & absolutism. Modified HA.
