A summary of Talcott Parsons's life & works. The main objective of Parsons's investigations was to develop a systematic social system theory that at the same time concerned itself with the problems of modern society. He contributed to bridging the gap between sociology & the other social sciences as well as the biological sciences. He has not found a strong following in the Netherlands. J. Migdal.
