How the student democratization movements of the 1960s have influenced the style of U life today is examined. The scholastic perspective, with its black & white guidelines, & rules & regulations, still dominates teaching & research. The political orientation that was the backbone of the student movement has not been able to effect a change in the scholastic approach. Student politics are superficial & incapable of bringing about a potentially more innovative style of U study. Modified HA.
