Group interviews & group discussions are investigated as data collection methods. The observation of group properties is discussed: global group properties like the so-called 'syntality' variables or 'style' variables, & those that emerge from interaction processes within groups are discussed. Practical suggestions are given on how to employ these methods for data collection purposes. Modified HA.
