Samenvatting

The model of religious conversion developed by J. Lofland & Rodney Stark ("Becoming a World-Saver: A Theory of Conversion to a Deviant Perspective" [see SA 14:5/66C1173]) was tested with a sample of 92 Dutch adolescents. The results indicate that the model supplies an acceptable explanation relative to the conditions of religious conversion, but does not adequately deal with the process of conversion. 5 Tables, 35 References.
