To determine whether newly graduated civil engineers of Turkish background face discrimination in the Dutch labor market, bogus letters inquiring about the possibility of work were sent to potential employers (N = 42). Analysis reveals no significant difference in the treatment of indigenous Dutch & immigrant Turkish applications, contrasting sharply with the conclusions found in many British studies. 5 References.
