Samenvatting

Drawing on data from a 1996 explorative retrospective research project among 40 single men who were homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless, it is argued that there are possibilities to prevent certain cases of homelessness. It is asserted that housing corporations, banks, & electricity companies could do a lot more to recognize problems at an early stage, thus making it possible to intervene & offer professional help before problems become unsolvable & lead to evictions or desperate moves by those concerned. 1 Table, 15 References.
