This year saw the publication of the second, much augmented, edition of the Dutch Roman-Catholic Song book Gezangen voor liturgie (Baarn: Gooi & Sticht). This article is an attempt to critically evaluate the principles used by the compilers of the second edition in selecting additional material added to the songs already present in the first edition.
