Unknown Masterpieces. Johan Heilbron, Bernard Kruithof, and Kitty Roukens introduce this special edition of Amsterdams Sociologisch Tijdschrift, in which 34 Dutch social scientists present brief reviews of favorite but relatively unknown works, mostly created after 1960. The theme is inspired by recent canonization processes of sociological works written around or after the 1968 "revolution"; it represents an attempt to highlight potentially important or otherwise interesting works left behind in this canonization process.
