Sexual victimization of boys was defined as a distinct social problem by a small circle of male psychotherapists and social workers who stressed the impact of victimization on adult life. They created a psychosocial regime of boy victimization, which contrasts with the medical regime of physicians and the political regime of girl victimization created by feminists. Integration of these three regimes would be beneficial in analyzing victimization.
