The Inheritance of Farms: Changes in Property Conveyance of Agrarian Families 1945-1990. Recent changes in the laws regarding agrarian inheritance in the Netherlands are discussed. Largely a result of agrarian expansion and rationalization, the inheritance of a farm now has to be handled professionally. The Old Age Pension Law has made individual precautionary measures for retirement (eg, maintenance contracts between owner and successor) less pressing.
