Recalcitrant Learning of Homosexual Youngsters. Gay males are often brought up with negative messages about gay life, messages that can linger into their adult lives. Positive images of gay life are encountered only within the gay world. Since that world is largely a youth culture, its potential riches are in danger of remaining imperceptible to young gays, and the cultural heritage of homosexuality is in danger of being forgotten. In the US, a process of gay socialization has been the answer to this problem.
