Fatal Sex. Cause and Reasons in Murder Cases with Homosexual Victims. In the 1980s male homosexuals comprised 10%-12% of the victims of murders in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Here, data obtained from police archives (N = 17 cases), psychiatric reports (N = 7), and interviews with potential victims (N = 7), are used to describe the typical scenario of such crimes: specifically, a homosexual male, age 50, takes home a heterosexual male prostitute, age 20, who robs and kills him.
