This article reviews the usage and influence of Marten Micron’s Corte Ondersoeckinghe during the first hundred years after its publication. It examines its impact on the liturgical forms, references to it in ecclesiastical acts and minutes and its influence on the Emder Katechismus and the Kort Begrip. It concludes that the Corte Ondersoeckinghe was a key text with an almost confessional status in the Netherlandish-speaking churches during those hundred years.
