Samenvatting

The study of 35 skeletons, found in Oosterbeintum, includes both the diagnosis of sex and age and the calculation of the total body length. Seven skeletons belong to children between 4 and 10 years old; most of the adult skeletons belong to individuals between 35 and 55 years old. The average body length for males turned out to be 1.74 m, for females 1.58 m. With regard to trauma and pathology, the most interesting case concerns the skeleton of an achondroplastic dwarf with an estimated body length of c. 1.26 m.
