ARCHEOZOÖLOGISCH ONDERZOEK VAN DE LAATNEOLITHISCHE VINDPLAATS KOLHORN (N.-H.)
Samenvatting
In this article the preliminary results are presented of the study of a small part of the faunal remains from the Late Neolithic site of Kolhorn (the Netherlands). From the site settlement, situated on a small levee, towards the adjacent creek, a shift is discernible in weight of the bone fragments. The smallest fragments (mainly from birds) were found in the settlement, while the heavier mammal bones were found in the creek. The species found point to an open, wet environment with a maritime influence.
