EEN EI HOORT ERBIJ ... PARASIETEN IN EN OP DE 17E-EEUWSE BEWONERS VAN HET MARTINIKERKHOF IN GRONINGEN (GR.)
Samenvatting
The egg of a whipworm, which was found by chance during the mounting of the first archaeological remains of head lice (Pediculus humanus L. 1758) ever to be found in a Dutch comb, was tentatively identified as Trichuris trichiura (L. 1758), thereby illustrating the presence of both endoparasites and ectoparasites troubling the inhabitants of the Martinikerkhof in Groningen in the 17th century.
