EEN PSEUDO-LEIENBOEKJE VAN HET MARTINIKERKHOF IN GRONINGEN (GR.)
Samenvatting
In a cesspit belonging to the 'weem' (rectory) of the former St. Walburg church on the Martinikerkhof in the city of Groningen, pieces were found of a so-called slate-book. This is a note book made of small wooden boards of Acer pseudoplatanus-type, coated with a grey paint. The find, which can be dated to the second half of the 15th century, is discussed. lt may prove to be an import artefact.
