HET KAPITTELHUIS TE LEEUWARDEN (FR.)
Samenvatting
In 1986 the Kapittelhuis in Leeuwarden was investigated. This house belonged to the Franciscan monastery in the town and must have been built after 1498. After the Reformation a new house was built on this site, the Landschapshuis, into which the Kapittelhuis was incorporated. In 1848 the Landschapshuis was demolished. Although traces of occupation older than the Kapittelhuis were found, the excavation indicates that this part of the town was probably not built over until after this house was erected.
