Samenvatting

Pollenanalytical investigations in a small bog between Eext and Gieten, called Giet­senveentje, revealed a typical Iversen­landnam, with relatively high values of Plantago lanceolata. Radiocarbon dating appeared to indicate an early TRB date. More detailed radiocarbon dating on a second core allowed 'wiggle-matching' and made clear that this landnam should be placed in pre-TRB times.
