RESTEN VAN DIEREN VAN HET 'OL KERKHOF' TE SCHEEMDA (GR.)
Samenvatting
An archaeozoological study of 238 bones from the late-13th- to early-16th-century rural settlement 'Ol Kerkhof' near Scheemda, situated in araised-bog area of the province of Groningen, revealed high proportions of cattie and horse remains. The horse bones probably are from draught-horses that were used for the cultivation of arable fields.
