DE NEOLITHISCHE VEENWEG VAN NIEUW-DORDRECHT (DR.). EEN ARCHEOLOGISCH MONUMENT OP DE HELLING
Samenvatting
The Neolithic wooden trackway of Nieuw Dordrecht, dated to c. 2100 BC, since 1981 has been a protected archaeological monument. The area of bog, in which the track is situated, is drying out to such a degree that the conservation of the trackway is threatened. In 1991 the layout of the protected area was rearranged on the basis of hydrological research, with the purpose of rewetting the peat. This offers a good chance of preserving the trackway.
