EEN NEOLITHISCHE LANDNAM ONTRAFELD DOOR DENDROCHRONOLOGISCH ONDERZOEK VAN DE VEENWEG VAN NIEUW-DORDRECHT (DR.)
Samenvatting
Dendrochronological research of a number of oak posts of the trackway (dated to 2880-2470 cal. BC) provides information on a Neolithic landnam cycle in this area. Within a total timespan of 62-63 years, the effective agricultural use of the deforested soil lasted 18 or 19 years at most. For about 40 years, birch stands existed on the abandoned fields. The subsequent construction of the track resulted in extensive deforestation.
