Samenvatting
Some problems in palaeoclimate reconstructions in the eastern Mediterranean region are presented and discussed here. Similar-looking pollen assemblages may cause false temperature reconstructions for the Pleniglacial period in the area. The probable cause and a possible solution, as well as future research topics are outlined.
