GRONINGER BIJDRAGE AAN GRIEKSE MONUMENTENZORG
Samenvatting
The archaeological survey in the territory of the Hellenistic city of New Halos (Thessaly, Greece) was continued in 1994. From October 1st until November 1st a group of archaeologists and students of Groningen University surveyed the finger ridges in the southern part of the Almirós Plain in an area between mount Othris, the river Xeriás and the abandoned villages of Karatsadhaglí and Plátanos. Although weather conditions were extremely bad during part of the campaign, two prehistoric dwelling mounds and a dozen Roman sites were added to the sites already discovered in 1992.
