EEN TERPZOOL IN GOUTUM-NOORD (FR.): WEER RAAK
Samenvatting
In 1995 it was put forward that the sites even of levelled Frisian terpen should be considered archaeologically valuable. Findings at Goutum-Noord this year bore out this assertion: not only buried features were found, but also undisturbed layers from Roman up to Merovingian times. The site produced many imports from all periods of habitation. For the first time in Friesland, pieces of a 2nd/3rd century potter's kiln were found.
