RUIMTELIJKE PATRONEN RONDOM DE HAARD VAN OLDEHOLTWOLDE (FR.)
Samenvatting
One of the aims of the ANALITHIC project is to create a complete data file, including the results of refitting analysis and use-wear studies, for the Hamburgian site at Oldeholtwolde in the province of Friesland. The intention is to complete this work in the course of 1997. To give an impression of the Oldeholtwolde file in its present state, distribution maps are presented for three artefact categories: 2573 flint chips (flakes smaller t han l. 5 cm), 1813 charcoal particles and 96 possible gastroliths: stones deriving from bird stomachs. All locations used in these maps were recorded individually. The hearth at Oldeholtwolde (indicated by a star symbol) was most probably in the open air, with the drop zone - where most of the tools were lefl - to the west, and a toss zone - containing a great deal of charcoal cleared out of the hearth - to the east of it.
