EEN SMID IN HET KAMP: ROMEINSE IJZEREN WAPENS VAN HET KOPS PLATEAU TE NIJMEGEN (GLD.)
Samenvatting
Five clusters af scrap metal were found an the Kops Plateau in Nijmegen. These clusters were associated with buildings. The clusters could be evidence of a fabrica or an annamentaria. It became clear that two clusters of scrap run parallel with two clusters of iron slag and bronze slag, from which it can be concluded that there were two fabricae for blacksmiths. Moreover, three other clusters of metal were found close to buildings. Possibly, two of the latter could have been used for storing armaments or functioned as stables. Nothing can be said about the cluster of scrap outside the militairy camp.
