BAUBO IN DE PUT. RESULTATEN VAN DE OPGRAVINGEN IN HUlS 9 IN HALOS, 1997

Samenvatting

In 1997 a pit, 1 m wide and 3 m deep, located in the courtyard of House 9 in Hellenistic Halos was excavated The stratigraphy of the pit re­presented different phases of its use: as a cis­tern, a rubbish dump and a kopron. Finds in­cluded pieces of domestic pottery and of a large unguentarium, a terracotta amulet representing Baubo and a large number of bones and shells. All pottery could be dated to the early Hellenis­tic period.
