Terzijde van de weg naar Santiago, of: kijken naar waar de neus niet heenwijst
Samenvatting
The author draws attention to phenomena generally little noticed or considered, or even ignored, reflecting on his experiences while travelling and attending conferences. Examples are a rare group of early medieval churches in northern Spain off the pilgrims’ road to Santiago de Compostela; the amazing information from cropmarks in aerial photographs: Neolithic enclosures all over Europe, ring ditches from a thousand(!) Bronze Age barrows in Flanders; and the dry-land sites to be expected from several periods of the Swiss Neolithic for which lakeside settlements have not be demonstrated.
