Een verklaring voor de hoeveelheid Angelsaksisch aardewerk in Drenthe
Samenvatting
The Anglo-Saxon pottery in the province of Drenthe has not been inventoried before. The amount that is present is surprising, since the continuity of habitation in the area confutes the explanation of new settlers introducing this type of pottery. The explanation offered here is one of trade with the Northern coastal regions, during a period of economic prosperity. This would mainly concern the early Migration period, in view of the relatively early Anglo-Saxon pottery found in Drenthe.
