A recent find of an unfinished TRB flint axe from a dwelling mound in the North-Groningen marine-clay region has raised questions as to its provenance. This axe turns out to have been transported to the site in recent years. The same probably goes for several other unlikely finds from the Groningen dwelling mounds.
