Abstract

A PC-based computer program for automatic calibration of radiocarbon dates has been developed. It uses a calibration curve, generated along the calibration data points as published in the Trondheim (12th Radiocarbon Conference) proceedings. The program produces a calendar age probability distribution. Well-chosen example calibrations are discussed to aid the non-specialist in interpretation of the obtained probability distributions.
