Abstract

This article presents the results of recent international collaborative research into the Early Bronze Age composite necklace from Exloo, examining its circumstances and location of discovery, the history of its curation and study, its likely date, the provenance of its constituent elements, and its broader significance. The other Dutch Bronze Age faience beads, from Vogelenzang and Den Haag-Bronovo, are also discussed.
