Abstract
The author discusses the published results of the excavations of a Bronze and Early Iron Age settlement at Zwolle-Ittersumerbroek. He rejects many irregular structures proposed by the excavators as being based on arbitrary selection of post-holes. In contrast, he identifies some regular aisled long houses that have not been recognized. Two timber circles only become acceptable after some changes, making them to meet with Gerritsen's rule. In this form they are not identical, and they cannot be used as sun calendars in the proposed way.
